Mom held him, and I used the shaver to shave him. The Dr. recommended that we use the machine. His Ummiy carefully took the shot so his face didn’t show.

Circumcising your son

Circumcision is a highly recommended sunnah (see this post on TriniMuslims). So we took baby to Dr. Ibrahim today to get him circumcised. The procedure was very quick (although a little bloody), and he was back to normal right after. It cost about $700, and we have a follow-up visit nx week.

Ibn ‘Abbaas (radhi-yAllaahu ‘anhumaa) related that the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) used to commend al-Hasan and al-Husayn to Allaah’s protection, saying:‘I commend you two to the protection of Allaah’s perfect words from every devil, vermin, and every evil eye.’
